🌍 Location & Transportation – FAQs

Dehradun Airport (DED) is the nearest airport to Rishikesh. It is approximately 31 km away and takes about 1 hour to reach, depending on traffic conditions.
There are four main travel options from Delhi to Rishikesh/Sages Yoga School:

Flight:
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
(1-hour flight from Delhi (DEL) to Dehradun Airport (DED) + 1-hour drive from the airport to the school) | Fare: Usually INR 3,500 – 5,000

Taxi:
Duration: 5–7 hours | Fare: INR 4,500 – 4,800 (approx.)

Bus:
Duration: 7–8 hours | Fare: INR 400 – 1,000 (approx.)

Train:
Duration: 7–8 hours | Fare: INR 400 – 1,000 (approx.)
Yes. However, flights and taxis are the recommended travel options for female travelers from a safety and convenience point of view.

Yes! Special dietary options are available. You just need to mention it while registering for the course and check-in at School.
Ans.2 Yes, RO-filtered drinking water is provided at the school. A water dispenser with hot, cold, and normal water options is available for students.
Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited during the class. However, if permitted by the teacher, a student may record the session using their device in silent or flight mode. Other students may request the recording from that student afterward.
Yes, both private and shared accommodation options are available at Sages Yoga Ashram. Private rooms are equipped with a single bed, while double-sharing rooms have two separate beds, and triple-sharing rooms have three separate beds.

🏥 Health & Safety – FAQs

Yes. Please carry a sufficient supply of your medications, as the same medicines may not always be available in different countries.
Clinics and hospitals are available nearby, and we can assist you in reaching them if required. However, all medical expenses, medications, and treatments will be the responsibility of the student.
Vaccinations are generally not mandatory for traveling to India. However, it is recommended that you consult your doctor or local travel health clinic before departure.
Commonly recommended vaccinations for travel to India may include:
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Typhoid
Tetanus
Routine vaccinations (MMR, COVID-19, Influenza, etc.)
Students are advised to carry their personal medications and vaccination records, if applicable.
Malaria risk in Rishikesh is generally low, especially in main residential and tourist areas. However, like many parts of India, mosquito-borne diseases can occur occasionally, particularly during the monsoon and post-monsoon season (July–October).
Precautionary Measures
Students are advised to:
Use mosquito repellent
Wear full-sleeved clothing in the evening
Keep doors and windows closed or screened
Use mosquito nets or repellents if required
Preventive malaria medication is usually not necessary, but you may consult your doctor or travel health clinic before traveling.
Outside eatables are strictly prohibited. However healthy food and beverages are allowed.
Things to avoid: Any kind of Non-veg including Eggs, Oily food, Spicy food, Alcohol and smoking, Processed and packaged foods, Fast food and fried items, Onion and garlic (as per yogic/sattvic diet principles)

🧘 About the Course – FAQs

There is no specific dress code. Students are advised to wear stretchable and comfortable yoga clothing suitable for practice.
Yoga mats are available in the Yoga Hall for use. However, you may bring your own mat to maintain personal hygiene.
Yes, we welcome everyone as beginners. The 100-Hour course is designed for beginners, while the 200-Hour course is suitable for beginner to intermediate level students.
Yes, all teachers hold a Master’s degree in Yogic Science and are highly experienced in yogic practices, with 15–25 years of teaching experience.
Yoga is primarily a practical and experiential practice. Language is not a barrier, as all teachers are cooperative and supportive. If you experience any difficulty, you may note it down and clarify your doubts at the end of the class.
Yes, we can accommodate both of you in a shared private room. If both participants attend the course, the accommodation will be charged at the double-sharing fees. However, if one person stays only as a companion and does not attend the course, the enrolled student will be charged for a private room, and meals (if taken) for the non-student partner will be charged separately.
This course requires 100% attendance. In case of any urgent work or health issue, you must inform the management or school administration in advance.
Yes, some Sundays are designated as rest days. Additionally, certain hours in the daily schedule are kept free for rest, such as before and after meals and during evening tea breaks.

Yes, however, the Asana classes will be conducted separately under the guidance of a Prenatal Specialist RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher). This provides a wonderful opportunity to become both an RYT and an RPYT at the same time (additional fees for Prenatal Yoga Course).

🎓 Certification – FAQs

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to register as an RYT (RYT 200). Please create an account at www.yogaalliance.org and apply for your RYT registration by following the required steps. Kindly remember to leave us a review. Once we approve your request, you will be able to view your profile listed as an RYT.

Yes, the certification is globally recognized and accredited by Yoga Alliance USA.
Yes, both practical and theoretical examinations will be conducted in the final week of the course. The final assessment will be evaluation-based and must be successfully passed in order to receive the certificate.
Yes, our Yoga Alliance USA–accredited certification allows you to teach yoga worldwide.

✈ Arrival & Departure – FAQs

The 2nd (date) is the official check-in day at the school. Check-in is available throughout the day and can be done according to your convenience and arrival time (please inform us in advance). Early check-in before the 2nd (date) may also be arranged upon prior notice (extra stays are chargeable).

Yes, extra stays (before or after the course) are chargeable at INR 1,000 – 1,200 per night.

💰 Payment – FAQs

Yes, you may switch your course to another available course even after reservation, as you have the right to choose the course according to your preference.
Yes, however, any additional bank charges or taxes are applied by the bank.
Yes, except for non-residential course options.
The advance deposit is non-refundable. However, we offer flexibility for later joining, or the deposit may be transferred to another person (friend, family member, or colleague) for registration.

🌦 Weather in Rishikesh – FAQs

The weather in Rishikesh changes beautifully throughout the year.
Spring (February – April): Temperature: 15°C – 33°C
Summer (May – June): Temperature: 30°C – 36°C
Monsoon (July – September): Temperature: 25°C – 32°C
Autumn (October – November): Temperature: 15°C – 30°C
Winter (December – January): Temperature: 6°C – 20°C 
According to the above mentioned (Ans. 1) temperature of that month.
Mornings and evenings are cooler, while the daytime is usually sunny and warm.
Not very heavy, but sometimes continuous rainfall may occur.
October, November, March, and April are considered the best months to join a yoga course in Rishikesh due to favorable weather conditions. However, courses are conducted throughout the year.

An e-Tourist Visa with a minimum validity of 30–40 days is required to join the course. Please apply for your Indian Visa through the official website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
Please bring only your personal necessities; everything else will be provided here.
Yes, ATMs of all major banks are available near the school within a distance of approximately 0.5 to 1 km.

We prefer small group classes and believe in providing personal attention by maintaining an appropriate teacher-to-student ratio. Therefore, we aim to keep 10–12 students per batch, with a maximum limit of 15 students.
